Samantha de Bendern

Samantha de Bendern is a British writer and journalist based in Paris, specializing in Russia, Ukraine, and the European Union.

She is currently an Associate Fellow at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs), a senior consultant on EU-Russia relations and financial crime at the Conflict Studies Research Centre (formerly the Defence Academy), and a political commentator on the French television channel LCI.

She regularly contributes to The Guardian, France 24, and BBC news programs.

Samantha de Bendern has worked for the European Commission in Moscow, NATO Headquarters in Brussels, and several international financial institutions.

She is bilingual in English and French, and fluent in Russian, Spanish, and Italian.
