Alexander Etkind

Alexander Etkind was a professor of Russian literature and cultural history at Cambridge (2005-2013), and since then, he has been a professor at the European University Institute in Florence and a Senior Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg, University of Konstanz. His main areas of interest are the history of ideas and the history of Russia; topics include historical memory, internal colonization, and the history of natural resources. He is the author of several books translated into multiple languages, but only one has been translated into French: Histoire de la psychanalyse en Russie, PUF, 1995.
